My new motto

on

Isn't that great? I love the idea that 30 does not mean "old." It means "experienced." As in, wiser, smarter, and stronger than that rookie, greenhorn, empty-headed 18-year-old. Better than I used to be.

And, just for the record, I am not 30 yet. This was an early birthday present from my sister. Early. Very early. I am still most definitely in my 20s.

I, personally, am LOVING my 30's. I don't feel old. I do feel like I am getting more and more comfortable in my own skin. And that feels great.

My dad told me, in his 60's, that his 30's were his favorite.

The 30's aren't bad, I am enjoying it more than my 20's. I feel like I am my own person now rather than trying to be something else for everyone else. Plus if people don't like it then oh well. It is a rather freeing feeling. (though I hate to admit I still care)

I'm glad to hear that I have happy times to look forward to in this decade. The closer I get to it, the less the big number is scaring me. I too am feeling not old, but much more confident and comfortable with myself than I did when I was younger. Check back with me in two weeks and we'll see if I'm still so positive about it.
